The real exam
- Official pass mark
- Minimum passing score of 72%, set by a psychometric standard-setting study for the exam version released on or after April 6, 2026
- Outline
- GIAC GSEC Exam Certification Objectives & Outcome Statements (26 objectives), exam version released on or after April 6, 2026
- Navigation
- No going back: each answer is final and you cannot return to earlier questions, as on the real exam.
The real 106 questions include CyberLive hands-on tasks run in live virtual machines, and GIAC does not say how many; we cannot reproduce these, so all 106 questions here are multiple choice. GIAC publishes no objective weights, so questions are spread evenly across the 26 objectives. On the real exam answered questions cannot be revisited, only 10 to 15 can be skipped, and unanswered questions count as wrong.
